This is a recent photo from my ongoing project watching a small tree filled landscape in urban Burnaby being turned into a tower. Looking back over the variety of spaces, views, the lush colours and the smell of the living earth on had in this tiny bit of landscape I am so saddened by what they have done. But again, the new project promises us everything we need to be happy. When I first put up photos of this site one friend wrote, "Yes, a mess soon to be cleaned up and replaced by a beautiful building." Someone who wants everything turned into ordered landscape.
