These images are taken from my more recent series in the forests of British Columbia. The images range from those which show direct human intervention, to simple compositions which change the meaning of a place through suggested structure.

Walked along a pathway today following the shoreline.
Walked along a pathway today following the shoreline. Trees were grouped together by species, with a scattering of evergreens. Evidence of previous clearing for farming is evident here and there. To one side lies Delta, British Columbia, and to the other the waters and then Richmond, British Columbia. In the summer months the trees, grasses and bushes grow too heavy to see through, but at this time of year shipping containers are seen floating by on barges. Here and there are scattered trees from up North that have broken away from their moorings.

It's snowing in the mountains, and here in town after 5 days the rain is about to stop. I can see the lights on the ski slopes from my window. Getting my camera ready fo go out. Hope to find some simple images like this one near the edge of town.
