Often my interest is in the transition of space (how does space become place?). These images are often found in the liminal edges of a space where the landscape transitions, sometimes from urban to suburban, sometime urban to woodland or forest. Here the garden, as place, bleeds into the woodland space, with a lone gardener working on transforming the land, slowly, but constantly, encroaching on another space.

The cove, just inland from Vancouver proper, serves as a terminal to industry and the oil industry in particular. Ship traffic is set to double due to new pipelines.
