L.ate Summer in the Orchard
Between the cemetery and the farm land.
Overlooking the Columbia River Valley.
A slight change, overlooking the Columbia River Valley reminds me of The Oxbow, where I grew up spending both my childhood and teen years before leaving for New York.
A difficult path to the light.
A few images that I payed little attention to in my forest series ar still waiting to be edited. Often trees present themselves along the pathway like this, showing the difficulty the tree has reaching the light. Heavy winter snows also play a part in this.
More of the new garden spot.
The new garden spot is more compact, with less space between plots. Regretfully there is little room for structures here, but you still see the influence of humans on the landscape as the season progresses.
A new garden spot.
Today I found a new garden to explore. While it is small, it is very active. There is a reclamation project for a small wetlands area as well as the garden plots. I was just sending my new magazine off to the printer when I ran into this.
Totem: For David Smith.
A walk in the forest after the rain.
Finishing up a series of forest images in British Columbia. My focus has been on self-contained images which present themselves to the viewer.
